Is everything that you make really natural?

Yes! We use the highest quality natural ingredients (Herbs, butters, clay, sea salts, and natural plant oils) with no synthetics (no dyes, no fragrances, and no synthetic preservatives). We also formulate according to the strictest European Union standards, meaning we avoid more than 1,300 potentially harmful chemicals that the EU has banned.

 

What makes your beauty products different to other 'Natural' products?

A great deal of time, energy and resources were used to research and develop a line of products that not only help you to enhance your beauty, but also to protect you from the potential dangers of known synthetic ingredients. Many so-called natural products contain many synthetic ingredients, often used as preservatives and fragrances, yet these are not disclosed to consumers as synthetic and potentially harmful ingredients. Also, the manufacturing process renders many oils – even organic ones – toxic. At Husn Beauty we take great pride in using manufacturing processes that avoid heating oils to high temperatures, so that all healing enzymes, vitamins and antioxidants remain intact. We guarantee the highest grade of ultra pure ingredients in our products.

 

Are your products 100% Non-GMO?

Yes, and each ingredient is verified. Some are even certified organic.

 

Are your products gluten and soya free?

Yes, all of our products contain no added gluten or soya.

 

Are your products made in small batches?

Yes! Each product is hand made carefully in small batches. This keeps ingredients fresh and pure, thus ensuring your products are incredibly nutrient dense and effective.

 

How do you define "natural" and "synthetic-free"?

Natural ingredients originate from a renewable resource in nature and only undergo chemical changes due to biological processes such as fermentation, distillation, and cold processing. You will not find synthetic ingredients nor artificial chemicals in our formulas — this includes no dyes, no fragrances, and no synthetic preservatives. Each of our products are purely natural, minimally processed, and healthy for your skin while being safe.

 

How do I know your products will work on my skin?

Everyone's skin truly is different, and it often takes a bit of time to find the perfect product(s) for your individualised skin. We suggest trying ours for at least 28 days, because this will let your skin purge and adjust to the new products for a complete cellular renewal cycle. This is especially important if you are transitioning to 100% clean & natural skincare for the first time. Please note that easing into new products is very important, especially ones full of bio-actives with no fillers. A little goes a very long way! We are happy to help you by recommending products

 

Why does my product look/smell differently than the one I purchased previously?

Due to the nature of using 100% pure, natural, and wild harvested ingredients, the colour, aroma, and/or texture may vary with every batch. This is the beautiful inconsistency that comes with keeping ingredients as close to nature as we can get!

 

Why does my coloured makeup product look a different shade to the image online?

While our best efforts have been made to ensure the product shade portrayed online is as close to the original product, this may vary based on your screen monitor's settings. Alternatively please check our social media accounts to see product swatches, and real life uses of the coloured products for a better idea of the shades.

 

Are your products safe to use during pregnancy and/or while breastfeeding?

The complete list of ingredients can be found under each product listing on our website. If you have any questions or concerns about ingredients and pregnancy/breastfeeding, please consult with your medical practitioner.

  

Why does my Balms/ Butters have little beads/whitish specks in it?

Because we leave out unnecessary fillers and stabilisers, this can result in the development of a bead-like texture/whitish specks in your balm. This is completely normal, doesn’t change the efficacy, and they will melt on contact with your skin (or by warming the balm in your hands before applying). The texture will dissolve from your body heat.

If you prefer to dissolve them, we suggest melting the balm in a ‘water bath’. You simply place the product (keeping it in its container) in a pot on the stove with a low temperature setting and water below its tightened lid. Let the balm melt completely and then let it cool all the way through in your refrigerator. Then, keep the product stored below 21 °C.

 

How soon can I expect my order?

Once an item is ordered and paid for, please allow at least 7 business days for your order to ship, unless otherwise noted in the product description. Remember, we are handcrafting items so they are at the peak of freshness when you get them! This can include making, infusing, bottling, labelling, and shipping. Handmade products takes a little longer to make than mass-produced ones. Let us know if you need an item by a specific date and we will always make it a priority to try to accommodate your needs.

 

What is your refund/exchange policy?

We currently do not accept returns for hygiene reasons, as we do not use seals on our products to reduce the amount of non-recyclable plastic waste. The responsibility is on the customer to check the product description, including the full ingredients list, suitability information and directions of use in relation to potential skin reactions and allergies prior to purchase. In the unlikely event of receiving a faulty product, please contact us at info@husnbeauty.com and we'll be happy to help.

 

Can I edit my shipping address?

To edit your details, please contact us at info@husnbeauty.com within one hour of placing your order. Unfortunately we're unable to make amends to your order once it’s been processed.

Are your products suitable for my skin type?

We strive to create innovative products which are suitable for all skin types, but as all skin is different and may react differently, please do ascertain skin suitability based on product descriptions. Why should I patch test before using the product?

Patch tests are used to determine how your skin reacts to a product. It is important to patch test before introducing a new product to your routine as skin is unique. Something that is fine for one person could be highly irritating to another.

How to patch test? Apply a small amount of product to a clean area of skin - we recommend the inside of your elbow. Keep the area dry and assess after 24 hours. If any irritation, burning, itching or redness occurs during the test, do not continue to use the product. If you have very sensitive skin, we recommend patch testing new products as outlined above for several days before using it on the intended body part. Although patch testing is a good indication of how your skin initially reacts to a product, it doesn’t guarantee that you will not get a reaction when applying the product to other areas of the body or after continuous use. Patch testing can not diagnose contact dermatitis or hypersensitivity. Speak to your GP if you are concerned about the above or if you are planning on introducing a new product into your routine.
